In the US, QuickBooks Online is the pragmatic default: market share means your clients likely already use it, the ProAdvisor ecosystem is deep, and every tool integrates with it first. Outside the US, Xero is frequently the stronger product with a better app ecosystem.
Neither is an AI tool as such. Both have added automated categorisation that learns from corrections, and for most firms that is enough at the ledger level, with specialist tools layered on top.
